nearly every time it has the chance to make a play -- it fumbles.. ... a lugubrious tutorial on the importance of being a winner.. ... as Robert Aldrich proved in The Longest Yard, a football movie should be able to hit harder.. Well intentioned, but way too corny, way too over the top....
